Monday, January 27 - ̈Just Say Hi!” Dress like an Emoji
There might be a time where people are unsure how to start a conversation with someone with a disability or those who are different from them. The Cerebral Palsy foundation reminds us it is super easy and to start by just saying hi! Spread kindness to all and brighten someday’s day by just saying hi!
Tuesday, January 28 - “See the Able” Dressing in neon and bright colored clothing to be seen.
The see the able campaign is a great reminder to look at what students are able to accomplish and not what their “label” says they cannot do. Whether we are discussing typical kids or kids with special needs, the focus should of course always be on seeing someone's strengths!
Wednesday, January 29’s - not all disabilities look like - Dress in mismatched socks/outfit
The focus of today's theme is to highlight, like all people, not all disabilities look the same, and that's okay! We want to remind everyone to not be too quick to judge if someone is different than you. To show your support, please dress in mismatched socks or outfit to highlight that everyone is different and that is something to be celebrated.
Thursday, January 30 - Make it OK - Mental Health Awareness - Dress like Inside Out or an emotion
Of course we always want to show our students that it is okay to not be okay. This is another opportunity to show your support in all students, even when they might be having a tough time. To show your support, please dress like a character from the movie Inside Out or an emotion.
Friday, January 31 - Proud Bulldog!
We are proud of all our bulldogs no matter the differences between us all. Wear Helping Hands gear, your best OF blue and gold gear or wear a t-shirt of a cause/campaign that you are proud to support!
